Why the Vertex S+

• N-type i-TOPCon cells, 23.8% efficiency — 475W from a 1762 × 1134mm panel, so fewer panels and less rail for a given array.
• Dual glass — 1.6mm heat-strengthened glass front and back instead of a plastic backsheet: far less prone to micro-cracks and scratches, and what makes a 30-year power guarantee possible. Still only 21kg.
• Slow degradation — 1% in the first year, then 0.4% a year: guaranteed 87.4% of rated output at year 30. Older P-type panels typically lose 2% then 0.55% a year.
• Better in heat and low light — temperature coefficient of −0.29%/°C and validated low-irradiance performance, which is what counts on a winter morning off-grid.

How many do I need?

Divide your target array by 0.475: 12 panels = 5.7kW, 14 = 6.6kW, 22 = 10.45kW, 36 = 17.1kW. Off-grid, allow roughly 1kW of panels for every 3kWh you use a day, more in the southern states. What else you'll need

Our rail kit covers everything between the panel and the inverter: rails and extenders, tin or tile roof brackets, mid and end clamps, earthing clips, DC isolators, MC4 and Y connectors and 30m of 4mm PV cable. It's included in our panel packages and available separately — tell us your roof type and panel count for a quote.

Delivery

Panels ship in boxes of 36 from our Truganina, Victoria warehouse to anywhere in Australia; smaller quantities go on a pallet. Freight depends on quantity and destination, so we confirm it after purchase or on request before you order. Pick-up is welcome.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the two warranties?

The 25-year product warranty covers the panel itself against defects. The 30-year power guarantee promises output of at least 99% in year one, falling no faster than 0.4% a year, to 87.4% of rated power at year 30.

Will it work with my inverter?

Any inverter accepts panels within its voltage and current limits — send us the model and we'll confirm the string configuration. The Vertex S+ pairs with every Green Bank and Deye inverter we sell.

Do I need an installer?

Grid-connected systems must be installed by an accredited installer. For stand-alone off-grid systems the rules differ by state; many customers mount the panels themselves and have an electrician make the final DC connection.

Why dual glass?

Conventional panels have a plastic backsheet that yellows, cracks and lets moisture in over time. Glass on both sides removes that failure point, resists micro-cracks from handling and hail, and is why Trina can guarantee output for 30 years.
