Our grid packages use the CEC-approved GB48200 (10kWh, 10-year warranty, 8,000 cycles) with a CEC-listed Deye hybrid inverter, installed by our accredited team in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth metro areas.

Works with any existing solar system. Our batteries and Deye inverters are installed AC-coupled, so it doesn't matter what brand or age your current solar inverter is — Fronius, SMA, GoodWe, Growatt, Sungrow or anything else — nothing on your roof needs to change. The battery system connects on the AC side and stores whatever your existing panels produce.

Prices include batteries, inverter, switchgear, bollards, signage and standard installation on a single-storey home with the switchboard within 3 metres of the inverter location, with the rebate already deducted. Longer cable runs or double-storey homes add up to $330 in labour — we confirm the exact figure in your quote. Need a different inverter size? Add the list-price difference between the two Deye models from our inverter range. Rebate value depends on install date and battery size and steps down again on 1 January 2027 — lock in your install before then.

How the rebate works

• You must own the home or small business, and the battery must be paired with new or existing solar.
• One battery system per address; the discount applies to usable capacity up to 50kWh.
• The discount is taken off your invoice at the time of installation — nothing to claim afterwards.
• Rates step down every six months; the next reduction is 1 January 2027.

Which range is which?

• GB series — our current generation. The GB48200 and GB48300 carry a 10-year warranty and 8,000-cycle rating; the GB48600 carries 5 years and 6,000 cycles. The GB48250 is the outdoor-rated (IP65) model with a 10-year warranty and 6,000 cycles.
• Elite series (model numbers ending in E) — 10-year warranty, 6,500 cycles. Limited remaining stock; when they're gone they're gone.
• LB series (24V) — 5-year warranty, for 24V systems: cabins, tiny homes on wheels, caravans and buses. Pairs with our 6kW 24V inverter. A 15kWh 24V battery — the largest in Australia — is coming to the range.

Works with your inverter

Every Green Bank battery communicates over CAN and RS485 and is compatible with SMA, Solis, GoodWe, Sofar, Luxpower, Voltronic Power, Growatt, Megarevo, Deye, Victron Energy and a further six brands. Deye and Green Bank MITS inverters are plug-and-play; for others, each product page lists the charge settings to use.

How much battery do I need?

Add up your daily energy use in kWh — a typical household is 10–20kWh — and choose a battery that covers at least one full day without sun. Two days of autonomy is better if you're in a cloudy region or run electric hot water. Because every model expands in parallel, it's fine to start with one and add a second later, as long as it's the same model. Send us your appliance list or power bill and we'll size it for you.

Delivery and warranty

Batteries ship on a pallet from our Truganina, Victoria warehouse to anywhere in Australia; freight is quoted per order and pick-up is welcome. Warranty claims and technical support are handled by our own Australian team — call or email and you'll get an answer from someone who knows the product, usually the same day.

Battery questions we get asked

Is LiFePO4 safe?

Lithium iron phosphate is the most thermally stable lithium chemistry available, with no cobalt. It doesn't go into thermal runaway the way lithium-ion (NMC) cells can, which is why it's the standard for home and off-grid storage.

How long will a Green Bank battery last?

Our GB48200 and GB48300 are rated for 8,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge — over 20 years at one full cycle a day, and most households cycle every 1.5–2 days. Other models are rated for 6,000–6,500 cycles.

Can I install it outdoors?

The GB48250 is our outdoor-rated (IP65) model and can be mounted outside. All other models are rated for indoor or enclosure installation; we can supply an IP65 cabinet for one or several batteries if you need them outside.

Can I mix different batteries?

No. Batteries in one bank must be the same model so their management systems communicate. If you're planning to expand later, buy a model we hold in depth — the GB48200, GB48300 and GB48600.

Do I need a CEC-approved battery?

Only for grid-connected installs claiming a rebate. For those, choose the GB48200. Off-grid and hybrid systems with no rebate can use any model in the range.
